I had error when installing handmade iso 0x80070570 (during installation).Could someone upload fixed iso? Thanks in advance.
Let me know if you have any issues. Just make sure to extract ID 3 from the original wim (wim1), mount the new wim (wim2) and capture the directory from wim2 to create wim3. Rename Wim3 to install.wim and replace within the sources folder. Add EI.CFG, Create an ISO and you're good to go.
It could be that MS is trying to be sneaky with that stuff and has some sort of identifying marker file... Or it could be that the dude who made the wim simply used a weird tool that corrupted one of the files that all of the indexes use.
make a text file in the "sources\" directory called ei.cfg Make the text: Code: [Channel] Retail That's it, save it. All it does is set the channel to retail and let you skip the key entry. It stops the automatic key pull from bios though..
so there are no activation methods yet ? Some users were talking about adding WMC, thats impossible on non-activated windows imho....
Hit a slight snag... gave key errors when trying to upgrade from 8.1 core to 8.1 pro... Obviously I couldn't activate core, so I'm going through 8.0 to activate so I can test the upgrade stuff... extra 15 mins prolly
KMS? Nope, 8.1 uses KMS v6 which can't be currently activated. It *can* be activated with retail keys but nobody wants to bite the bullet and try activating with a legit key just in case Microsoft blacklists it. The WMC talk is about after activating with a legit key, it should be possible to activate WMC too. Again, somebody has to bite the bullet and try activating with legit keys.
Correct. Those users were talking about using their legitemate Windows 8 Pro keys, which as far as I know nobody has done yet. I mean hell, we've only just got it installing within the last hour.
