Hi, I am new to this site and I am a home user that has friends that ask me to help them. I need to remote into their computers at a different location. I can remote from Win 8.1 to Win 7 or lower, but I cannot remote from Win 8.1 to Win 8.1. I know it can be done because I have seen it. I just can't get past this error. Remote Desktop Connection X Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons: 1) Remote access to the server is not enabled 2) The remote computer is turned off 3) The remote computer is not available on the network Make sure the remote computer is turned on and connected to the network, and that remote access enabled. None of this is true. I have all the remote services all running, I have the computer IP address and the user name. I have at&t U-verse and I have gone into my gateway and changed something (I just don't remember what now) Can anyone please help me.
