So, just to be clear, can this be used for a clean install? For people currently using Windows 8 with the KMS 6-month activator, can this be used as an upgrade? Can it be used as a clean install with the W8 KMS activation method described? Thanks!
You can do the clean install with this ISO, but you can't activate using the Windows 8 KMS Method. This ISO requires a genuine MAK/KMS Key to activate. No activators / KMS options are available yet for 8.1
It's corresponding to this one en_windows_8_1_pro_vl_x64_dvd_2971948.iso if you compare the hash from the OP and msdn.
No it is not possible, but you can use 8.1 Generic key (which can be found in the internet) or can be obtained in the stickies. Once installed 8.1 add your Windows 8 Pro / Core Key via Command Prompt. And the do the phone activation or activate online. Cheers
