Windows 8.1 support for Sandy Brigde processors!

    Just wish to know whether Windows 8.1 would run on Sandy Bridge processors? I have a second generation Core i7 desktop and therefore wish to know. Kindly inform.

    I use i7 3820: works properly

    Consider that Windows 8.1 runs fine on Conroe and Nehalem (which precede Sandy Bridge).
