    If I were to install Windows 8.1 with Bing and initiate a store update, would I be able to capture the IR5 ESD download URL?

    Maybe, but i don't think they bothered to create it
    Bing SKUs never had ESD files anyway, only leaked OEM images

    As you have already noted is counting by the use of the word 'Update X' total misleading.
    when you say 'IR4 is August (when Update 2 was released)' - this become nonsense

    you can count by 2 ways

    1. MSDN releases (ISO's) - this is the most used naming cheme on MDL and WWW
    IRM (dvd_27*) <- AKA RTM - DVD Label IRM_*
    IR1 (dvd_29*) <- AKA Update 1 (or RTM with Update Rollup) (or GDR) - DVD Label IR1_*
    IR3 (dvd_40*) <- AKA Update 2 - DVD Label IR3_*
    IR5 (dvd_60*) <- AKA Update 3 - DVD Label IR5_*

    2. count everything (but dont use the word update)
    IRM <- ISO (dvd_27*) - DVD Label IRM_*

    IR1 <- ISO (dvd_29*) General Distributet Release - DVD Label IR1_* = Store ESD
    Code:
    KB2883200, KB2894029, KB2894179

    IR2 <- refreshed Store ESD
    Code:
    KB2862152, KB2868626, KB2876331, KB2883200, KB2884101, KB2884846,
    KB2887595, KB2888505, KB2894029, KB2894179, KB2898514, KB2900986,
    KB2901101, KB2906956, KB2908174

    IR3
    <- ISO (dvd_40*) - DVD Label IR3_*
    Code:

    EDIT:
    - fix IRM 29* -> IR1 29* ...(thx abbodi1406 for the hint)
    - add KB (as far as i know)

    So Microsoft officially labels KB2919355 as Windows 8.1 Update, and we are not supposed to use it? :rolleyes:
    then a very few documents/articles later refer to it explicitly as Update 1

    try not to include the DVD media label into the "Update" equation
    they are two separate counts

    Media label: IRM, IR1... IR5
    Update terminology: KB2919355 (1), KB2975719 (2), KB3000850 (3)

    BTW, (dvd_29*) are IR1, not IRM, and they equal first Store ESD

    thx for the hint, fixed #225
    add also KB*

    BTW your Update terminology is misleading
    KB2919355 (1) -> included in IR3 (and IR4)
    KB2975719 (2) -> included in IR4
    KB3000850 (3) is afaik out side from IRM, IR1... IR5 ;)
    It also contains patches that are not included in IR5

    It's Microsofts's, not mine (although not very explicitly)

    that's what i said from the beginning ;)

    KB3000850 is the reason for creating IR5 media, so it's included, dah!

    Just wanted to say thanks for the Win_with_Bing_8.1_32BIT_English_OEM.img link in the first post. I spent soooo many hours trying to fix my tablet without success until I found this and then BAM! Fixed! Will keep seeding this for years.

    Hello guys! I'm new here

    will this run in a new laptop with windows 10 (pre installed) ?

    Windows 10 auto update and task scheduler always made my disk working in 100% which makes my laptop very slow.

    If yes? Can I place it in a usb stick and then boot from there?

    Are you still seeding this? I'm finding no seeders, and I'm trying to download this to reinstall on my HP Stream 8. I currently have Windows 10 on it, but it is such a disaster, and it makes the tablet completely unusable. Also, I just want to say that I can't believe what a PITA it is to get this version of Windows 8.1.

    Nope, that's the Spanish Single Language, and I need the non-Single Language edition (I tried to activate it with the original key from the laptop, but Windows says it is from another edition of Windows).

    Can somebody help me? Thanks!

    Hello everyone, the link I have chosen before was Windows 8.1 with Bing. That is CoreConnected, am I right?
    I am finding for Windows 8.1 Single Language with Bing, that is CoreConnectedSingle Language.
    Problem is, the link above is for the Spanish version? or do I have to change the language using a script somewhere? Thanks.
