yeah that is a bummer for sure. Too bad we couldn't set the ESD's to self-destruct if they are not seeded 1:1 at least lol

I think yes as the thread is named .......-with-update-......... and if you open the link it is clearly indicated.

 

Which serial number should I use when installing it?
I have a genuine Windows 8 serial, but it only works in the in-windows activation (worked with 8.1).
I've tried using the installation serial (starting with XHQ8N...) and didn't work, though.

 

It's the Pro with WMC.

The CoreSingleLanguage serial didn't work, but scrolling down the page I found the ProfessionalWMC, that worked.

I have one more doubt: Is it possible to activate Windows 8.1 Pro Update WMC with an Windows 8 Pro genuine key?

I'm trying and Windows keep saying that I can't activate this Windows version using my key.

I've did a clean install, over Windows 7 Ultimate edition.

Am I missing something?

 

As ProfessionalWMC is a different edition, you cannot activate it with a Professional key .

 

There's any workaround?
