Nobody is misleading anyone. It's the filename, nothing more. If you think the msdn isos are not the same version number, you're mistaken. They are all 17050. The lesser components inside the image have lesser version numbers but the entirety is 17050.
Those names and numbers are provided by MS, you can go ask them why nonetheless, i'll add a note that the ESDs are the same as MSDN ISOs
show me at least one file with the version is 6.3.9600.17050 View attachment 28239 View attachment 28240
I just want to say that it is necessary to add information about what's inside there is no file with the version 6.3.9600.17050
Here you go: View attachment 28241 You shouldn't focus on the labels anyway. You should focus on the packages that are integrated, SKUs, and the languages... These have the same packages as the MSDN versions. Let's just call them comparable.
murphy78, yes, I also saw these they appear after you install updates from WU but there is no files with 6.3.9600.17050 in esd-image
There probably is. MS is not known for just randomly calling things a higher number than files are present. It might be hidden system files, or some other servicing things or something... Lets just say that it's confusing and be friends ok? It's the packages that are important...
murphy when I grow up I want to be like you Damn how do you accomplish to know everything? Well I guess is genetic inheritance of your brain wiring.
hello friends.. I am using windows 8 wmc (wmc key) version and office 2013 (MAK activated copy).. my Internet connection is very slow, so i cant download update windows 8.1 wmc through store . can this esd file help to update my current version of windows to win 8.1 wmc without loosing my activation ??
I'm pretty sure the store downloads this exact same file, so no... I don't believe there's a different way to do it. Speaking of which... how did we find the esd links last time?, because it would be really handy to not have to download these things from file hosting sites if MS is already hosting them. Is there any way to capture file download urls in a network monitor program or something?
