Your isp might be throttling p2p. Sometimes you can get around it by using a VPN. You could try finding a free trial for a VPN and see if it helps. 150KB/s is not extremely terrible. You could get a file in a day or so with that.
I have bought a new laptop today and it's without an OS. Now I want to install windows 8.1 and Ubuntu. Can I have links of your latest monthly updates of windows 8.1 ... i couldnt find an exact place of it in the thread about ISO's . It'd be so helpful if you can give me an Activator as well one more question once my friend told that there are keys for sale for windows 8.1 versions. So is it possible to activate these versions via that sort of thing I do really appreciate your work . Thank you!
If you use uTorrent also try enabling Protocol Encryption in options>preferences>bit torrent. Hope this helps.
I tried downloading the Win 8.1 Single Language, first through the torrent, but I didn't get enough speeds, and then through the direct filesupload link, but I can't download in one single session, so I downloaded a part of it yesterday, and I started it again today, even though the router had been switched off and then restarted and the IP had changed, and yet filesupload allowed the download to resume. But I think they have a policy or something, to keep a download link open for 24 hours or so, and it probably expired somewhere around 11 AM today, so my download stopped, with 2 GBs of the 2.5 GBs downloaded, and no way to resume. I tried resuming it by changing the path in Internet Download Manager, but nothing worked. I'm not giving up downloading through the torrent, but that will take time, maybe a really long time. This is why I want to ask something else. Is it possible to turn Windows 8 / 8.1 (not single language, but the general one, which probably contains all languages) into Windows 8 / 8.1 single language? I have an ISO for Win 8 downloaded a long time earlier. Also, suppose I cannot get the Win 8.1 Single Language ISO for whatever reason, and choose to do nothing but let the present installation remain as it is, can I get Win 8.1 through the Microsoft site? My current version is Win 8 Single Language (en-us) x64 OEM. I've already saved the license key. Another thing: I'm attaching a screenshot of my hard disk at the present state: one is the Win 8 partition, another is the unallocated 363.11 GBs partition which I had made earlier but I haven't formatted it as NTFS yet: Damn, I don't have 20 posts yet, so I can't post any links, but the screenshot shows the following partitions, in this order: 1. 500 MB Healthy (EFI System Partition) 2. 40 MB Unallocated 3. 2.00 GB Unallocated 4. C: -contains Win 8 installation Healthy (Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Primary Partition) 5. K: -not formatted as NTFS Healthy (Primary Partition) My question is, since I've already messed up the recovery partitions, can I add the first three partitions (500 MBs, 40 MBs, and 2 GB) to the partition C: which contains Win 8? Thanks for all the help you've given.
WinDlp.dll came from windowsstoresetupbox.exe downloaded with the ESD to perform the upgrade it's used to download the dynamic updates pre and post upgrade did you used oscdimg.exe to make the store ISO? regarding the size difference in two ESDs (about 2.93 MB) install.esd created by esd-decrypter-v4c have only one index (exported) whereas install.esd created by store upgrade process maintains all the 4 indexes
I just used Imgburn in creating the ISO from the files downloaded from the store. Does it make a difference?
After what i said, does it really matters? it makes the difference if you didn't use optimize feature (duplicate files added once)
I had earlier said that I was having trouble downloading the Windows 8.1 x64 Single Language esd through torrent (post #684 in this thread), and I still am; most of the time, I don't speeds above 50 kbps. I've found another torrent with which I'm getting better speeds, uploaded by Murphy78 himself. Murphy78 had earlier said that he didn't like people mentioning his TPB work here, so I tried to PM him, but I got the message that his inbox is full. The file I was trying to download earlier was: 9600.17053.winblue_refresh.140923-1144_x64fre_client_coresinglelanguage_en-us-ir4_csla_x64frer_en-us_esd_ab9313b305f5b0ecace0596ec245cee709e584ae.esd Size: 2.54 GB, and the SHA1 is: ab9313b305f5b0ecace0596ec245cee709e584ae The other torrent I've found on TPB is named "Windows 8.1 with Update (Core Single Language) (x64)"; the name of the file is: 9600.17050.winblue_refresh.140317-1640_x64fre_client_coresinglelanguage_en-us-ir3_csla_x64frer_en-us_esd.esd Size: 2.47 GB, and its SHA1 is: 708EEAA63367A2BD072F499375AAC67793920071 Is it alright if I download this one?
What I meant to ask is, is this the one I should download for my Win 8 x64 en-us single language PC? I don't want to download something that I later find out, cannot be used by me.
