Windows 8 $14.99 Upgrade Code is Now available

I had the same isue as you with my valid upgrade on my PC I bought in Audust. It kept saying invalid.

There should be a link to contact by phone in email or rejection pages.

Just call them up and they will hook you up. I think they may have unofficially ended this offer unless you call it in.

The last three I've done for friends have all failed this past month or so. Phone worked every time.

I was able to use $14.99 upgrade path successfully online both for offer and upgrade assistant on W7 slic 2.1 machine .. Biggest obstacle getting MS to take my money .. Payment via upgrade assistant was a pain .. Finally had to make IE my default browser, change trusted list to include, repower router for new IP, and turn off third party firewall and turn on Windows firewall just to be able to pay .. Are you kidding me?

 

I had upgrade offer via my mail..said:...Windows 8 has become..What are you waiting for?They have give me a promo code that I inserted when I bought Windows 8,and succesfully got at 15 EUR+ 3..(maybe some extrataxes???)so I have full genuine Windows 8 IN MY NATIVE LANGUAGE
Before of that I had Windows 8 installed and activated via kms+ free key from MS.I ran upgrade assistant in Windows 7 compatibility mode

I got one a few days ago without entering a Win7 product key. I entered a HP laptop model purchased at Staples on Oct 23.

 

I was no entry no purchased laptop or desktop...and they give me the offer due my email

 

Yeah a few days ago it wasn't asking for a key, it is now though

 

Whats the trick in getting the $14.99 upgrade
I tried twice said not eligible or something
I first used a win7 serial from my 2 year old laptop was refused $14.99 upgrade as expected
Then I bought a new win7 desktop last week with win7 used its serial still refused $14.99 upgrade
It was bought from Staples in Canada maybe I should complain there.

Maybe it was the link I used, some people say does not ask for serial

So was your W7 SLIC 2.1 an original SLIC 2.1 or a SLIC 2.1 BIOS Mod? If it was a BIOS modded SLIC 2.1 then please share which machine was it. I might try the same for my SLIC 2.1 Modded BIOS.

This is wierd.. How did this work? Care to elaborate more clearly?

To solve this problem you have to run Update Assistant in compatibility mode with XP SP3. I had the same problem here in Italy.

 

Requested a promo code from my phone with Firefox and it actually worked. Now let's download the upgrade assistant. I want to use it for a HTPC which I bought without any operating system and I would like to have a legitimate Windows on it.

No, that was the whole beauty of it. And than it send me a promo code

 

I got the promo code for my Windows 7 laptop, I understand I have to use the code before 31 January 2013 but do I have to do the upgrade before 31 January 2013? tia
