If you get a laptop on or before 31st jan you qualify to register your purchase before February 28, 2013. which just/simply means you have one more month to register you purchase and get an upgrade to windows 8 for a discounted price.
Thanks for clarification. I keep on reading elsewhere that last day to use the promo code is 31st January, 2013. So if I already have a promo code, I can still hold on and register my purchase till February 28, 2013?
The above is an earlier post of mine that went unanswered. Do I have any options that would allow me to go from a "grace period" install of Win 7 to an upgrade install of Win 8? From my reading, it seems like the answer is "no," but I haven't found anything really explicit. I take it that the Windows 8 installer will just refuse to do an upgrade install since my Windows 7 installation is not actually activated and doesn't have a legitimate key? But I could still do a "clean" install into my Win 7 partition, then use the registry-key/command-line slmgr trick to get 8 to activate?
If anyone got unused promo code to give out? I really need 2 for my laptop and desktop. But even 1 promo code will save me money! Please please guy.
Just making urgent plea as deadline is looming. Not begging to save my world lol . Only asking someone to do a good deed by giving unused promo code to other who need it, instead of wasting it.
Installed today my wife's PC with the home-made Pro-WMC and it didn't take the Pro-Key, but the WMC-Key, which couldn't be activated. It worked via untouched MSDN-Pro + $14.99 Upgrade-Key + free WMC-Key, but only when being booted from the DVD and not started within Win-7. I was able to "upgrade / clean install / downgrade" the not activated Pro-WMC with the Pro-Version. Some info's must have been still stored somewhere, possible in the 350MB system-partition.
@readroad, @anarchist9027 I never ask for key or serials. How on earth someone would interpret promotion code as key or serials. Read my post carefully. Promotion code = discount code
You just dont get it: The promo key is a unique key Can we get a lock on this thread please. It has served its purpose.
So you really think that this is relevant to this thread ? A moderator will be here soon enough to interpret the rules for you since you can't accept a friendly warning ..
Don't understand. You made it into a Pro and activated with $14.99 Key? As for coupon begging: Wording of the rules should be changed to be more precise if you don't want coupons!
