I have the iso from the windows download im glad i didnt close it, problem is i hope that it can install from win 7 loader or fresh os

 

there is no place to enter the discount code on the damn upgrade program.. guess i need to wait til the site lets me buy

 

your doing it wrong you go to buy it at full price then at one stage it says promo code with a white box about the middle on the right next to the price

do you think im stupid.. there is only 1 option on the upgrade adviser.. buy full price win8 pro.. there is no place to enter discount code.. i clicked all thewayto payment..

Mmmmm...seems the key is tied to the iso?

 

I'm wanting to do a clean install on my new hard drive, but I don't want to install my win 7 first, so I'll have to wait to see why win8 is activating for some and not for others.
What about the registry MediaBootInstall flag? I had to change this to activate my win7 clean installs.

 

It seems weird. Did you need to enter the key during the installation? I hate Microsoft for these kind of bs, why don't they allow me to redownload with the code I ALREADY HAVE?

 

The upgrade key you have will probably work with any win8 pro iso, as long as you upgrade/install from within Win7.

 

So at the very end you have option to create media and choose USB or ISO. I chose ISO.
All good now.

 

you obviously are if someone has just backed that up.

 

So its impossible to have a fresh install of win8 pro directly from the iso downloaded from win8 upgrade assistant?
