Windows 8 Anti-Virus.

KIS works fine with your PC ?

KIS 2013 is currently under beta testing. Once released, it will work fine with majority of PCs

 

Free Avast Antivirus works fine with win8 rtm.

 

I've installed Nod32 5 for windows 8, but i've uninstalled because of a bug with a pop-up notification saying that my computer can be exposed to risk or something like that ( that notification disappeared immediately, but it reappeared many times).
I've switched to Kaspersky Antivirus 2013, but it was very slow on my 5 years old computer.
Now i'm using Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013, and it works well so far.

 

ESET Nod32 v5 is not Compatible at all with Windows 8 dude

 

My Kaspersky product code doesn't work with the tech preview

It worked quite well, but now i'm back on Windows Defender. I wasn't satisfied with Bitdefender. I hope my pc won't get infected with this one.

ESET Smart Security 5, working fine on W8, only HIPS feature not working =/

 

I'm pretty happy with MSE, so having that built into Windows 8 is good enough for me

Eset smart security v6 was running so fine for me. Later I noticed it crashed the load of wan miniport (ip), wan miniport ipv6 and wan miniport Network Monitor. That makes make no longer connect to broadband internet.

Tried most of security softwares already and all of em suck in some ways. Even windows defender and firewall. It doesn't ask allow or block connections neither has option to enable.

Edit: Even after uninstalling eset, wan miniport issue didn't solved. However spent many hours to resolve. If you have such issue, let me know via pm. I will try to help.

 

Yes, it it not working in ESET v5 AV but in the ESET RC v6 HIPS works fine and RC version works well.
