    norton takes more ram here than what it does on your pic and stalls the 3 second fast windows 8 boot up time for me. thats why i choose kaspersky is 2013 :)

    @Cleric

    I was wondering how you get the transparency in the taskbar? Which theme is that? Can you post it?

    Agree, I also do not use antivirus anymore, they are just tiring with always asking to buy license or whatever for many $$. The built in antivirus just perfect, nothing unwanted massages, always working for free :).

    I've used the ESET NOD32 v5 without any problem on Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation. ;)

    KIS 2013 should be bought and not be used with activation hacks because if you try keys they get black listed and if you try trial resets you get black listed.
    Kaspersky has better protection against piracy than any other anti virus corporation. If you want to go through all that trouble that I did earlier,
    try the kaspersky world trial resetter (until kaspersky blocks it ofc and they freeze your trial subscription) :)

    I have to agree with you about the essentials. I have used essentials since it was introduced with win 7 few years ago. I know you would say that Windows Defender was there before Security Essentials but I found more than enough the inbuilt antivirus of Win 8. Perhaps its good to have another antivirus but if its paid version, better to actually pay for it than downloading a crack version. I have a very painful experience about the crack version a few years back as my system is totally f**k up due to of course to my idiotness ^_^. But I have learned my mistake.

    I prefer to avoid cracks all the time. There are many giveaways of every type of software ranging from Windows 7 to Antivirus, Office, Multimedia Utilities, Internet Utilities, and Tuning Utilities etc. I prefer to get my keys legally and that is why majority of my system software are legal and genuine. Currently on my system, except a single software, all other software, either freeware or paid, are legal. I have changed my AV to KIS 2013. As a gold beta tester, I get genuine key and enjoy 365o and 365 days protection. Kaspersky has one of the strongest anti-piracy protection. Avoid cracks and leaked keys and get a genuine key from retail store/online or giveaway :cool:
