These dynamic Ribbons save a lot of clicks, if want to manage your drive etc. You don't even need to go to the Control Panel like today. I like it, it's much better than today. But it should be customizable.
Yes, but it varies a lot: Office 2007: Customizable in theory, but very complicated with XML files Office 2010: Very customizable and very easy to handle Paint and Wordpad in Win7: Ribbons aren't customizable Windows 8: ??? But at least the small buttons in the upper border were always customizable until now.
The screens seem to not have icons yet (just placeholders), the ribbon ones so maybe that's a very early concept test, let's wait what comes out.
Canouna Show this: jamieostrich from BetaArchiwe wrote to Paul Thurrott, Just had a quick email from Paul and he confirms that Microsoft is not taking down sites, and Microsoft is not telling him to or not to release these secrets! Quote: No one is asking for me to release anything. I'm honestly surprised they've not asked us to stop, given that the stuff we have is more of an insider peek into the product than what the blogs downloading leaked builds can show the world. But the point is, the reports about Microsoft asking/demanding people to take stuff down is, so far at least, not true. Thanks! Paul
Paul told me the same thing and Tom Warren said the same yesterday. Edit: Массовое закрытие сайтов о Microsoft: что случилось на самом деле? - mswin.me/nA Mass closure of sites on Microsoft: what really happened?: no_short_urls_allowed/hp4MQF
