It's a problem with a tool, on some Windows versions doesn't work, I don't know why... Hopefully a new version will be reased this summer. And yes, you can go back by restoring the backups from within the tool.

The problem is the operating system... there's something that stops us from modifying a file. If those who tried to install it had Windows 8 or other OS in dual-boot then that's the problem... and no, it doesn't work after uninstalling that second OS either :( maybe only after a clean format of the whole partition

Well funny you mention that because I also have a dual boot system but I dual boot XP Pro x64 and Win7 Pro. I used DualBootPro to setup the boot menu so maybe that might be why. Maybe even something stupid as to what partition the boot files are on can make a difference. I will try testing this in a bit.

@Update: Well it was not a simple change of the boot partition but interestingly when I did Win7BootUpdate said "Invalid Boot Directory" so it checks the boot info first and maybe there is some sort of protection preventing this from running for whatever reason. A sort of self-defense of some kind. I will continue to look into this when I have time. If anyone else wants to pitch in go right ahead lol.

The tools isn't mine, only the bootscreen animation :D (actually that's microsoft's but I remade it using original resources provided by canouna).

At least we know that the dual-boot is the problem :( I hope we can fix it somehow...
