I didn't think I was this noob, but I have now tried to install this in VirtualBox 4.04 3 times, and each one has failed.

    1) 1024MB ram + standard Win7 settings
    2) 2048MB ram + standard Win7 settings
    3) 2048MB ram + 2D + 3D acceleration + standard Win 7 settings (this attempt got further)

Have people got this running in VBOX? And if so with what settings.

Thanks for your help and sorry for being more noob than I thought

Lol, I was brave and installed it straight to my netbook, and it was the best decision I made. Windows 8 runs way better on real hardware than virtual hardware. In fact, it was more buggy in wmware than on my netbook...

This build has made my system way faster too, I have 2GBs on my netbook and Win7 used to use around 850-900mb of ram, Win8 uses only 550-600 ram. If you have a spare/old PC, its worth installing it straight on there. Besides, when newer builds leak you can just keep on installing on that same machine ;)

I triple boot, installed Win8 to an OCZ Vertex 3 SSD - 120GB - works fine. Next leak I'll probably try the UPDATE route and see what happens.

Could I use the free VMware Player, or can someone recommend a free virtualisation tool to use for taking a look at the UI of Windows 8?

Anyone got a list of new stuff in this build? As in, what Windows 8 features are actually in this?
