Thanks for the reply paul44. Activation of Windows 8 does not seem to be one of my abilities today... I think I'll go watch my granddaughter play soccer instead...
Hi. I have direct access to Windows 8 since I am using a HD for Windows 7 and other for Windows 8. May I copy the files directly to the HD with Windows 8? Just copy and it´s OK?
I have got another problem. I can set the wallpaper but about 5 minutes later it starts changing again. Any ideas anyone?
In my initial install of Win8, IE worked OK. Then I started updating the display drivers, nVIDIA 9800 GTX+, and IE 9 is now useless. I may do another clean install again later and leave the display drivers alone, I think the original were WDDM ???. Seems to me there was some/same issues with nVIDIA drivers in Win7 leaks too - kinda what makes leaks/betas fun...
I solved this by copying the wallpaper I wanted into /Windows/Web/Wallpaper/Windows/ and selecting it as normal from the Personalize dialogue. The wallpaper will then not change as it was before. I hope this might help someone having the same problem
Oh pleez! I found something that i could share. :NOTICE THIS IS TEXT ONLY BECAUSE I DONT HAVE ACCOUNT FOR MEDIAFIRE: Found this in help and support! _______________________________ | Search Will be Functional after M2! | =======================
I didn't misunderstand anything, new doesn't mean from scratch, I meant the new version. But thanks for the info anyway
Then it wouldn't be a new kernel would it? If it's a new version then it's just an updated kernel. Very, very different thing to a new kernel.
Of course you did. You're waiting for what? The change from 6.1 to 6.2? If you truly knew how Windows is developed you would know changes to the kernel are incremental, and the change to 6.2 only marks the transition to M2. I bet most of the kernel changes were already done in the M1 phase (ARM support comes to mind, the CES 2011 build was 7867, just barely into the M2 phase.)
