I guess it doesn't help a lot.. if it's really his or not.. after all we will not gain anything from it...
I use DeskScapes as long as you use the program the watermark is gone, but if you restart/start your computer you have to right click anywhere on the desktop, and it is gone. It works good enough for me.
Patching shell32.dll would completly remove the watermark. Using a loader to patch the watermark no need to permanently patch system files.
@ free1975yuly lol its safe its just general "statement" will remove the text as could be misunderstod easily. @Samlappy this loader will work with the wdp x86 only for now. But when the beta comes i will see if the code can adjusted to work.
Hmm did you copy loader.exe and stldr.exe to the windows directory and run the stldr.reg? If you done that the next time you restart windows, explorer.exe should be restarted (screen goes black for 1 second) did that happen? And are you using the RPEnabled hack?. Is your win8 copy installed in C:\ drive if not change the drive letter in stldr.reg? and that been said i have only tested this in a virtual machine so things might behave slightly different in real machine.
I was use into the past instructions posted into this topic to remove the watermark. After this procedure was done the text was remain only Windows Developer Preview .b32615d..... With the tool you posted above the text remain the same and not totally removed as into your pictures . The windows directory is in C:\ and yes the screen goes black for 1 second.
Then for some reason the code that draws the watermark stings in your win8 is located somewhere else. Or the watermark strings are different and the patch fails. Could you post a picture of your desktop watermark.

So only a small part of the watermark string has been removed?. Seems the code that draws the watermark in your win8 is located somewhere else.
