    You are welcome!
And by the way, I would like a pint and drink one or two tonight with the football match!

I had the same, key was not accepted.
Thats why I searched for the 8 Core SL and upgraded to 8.1!

    Waw ...
This information is important for the MDL members.
As we know, Windows 8.1 CoreSL should be activated using the Windows 8 CoreSL Key.

Hopefully soon get an OEM device with Windows 8 CoreSL and try it self .. :)

Isn't your method little time consuming?? User needs to download twice - first 8 ISO & then the 8.1 ESD from store whereas only the ESD download is enough for fresh reinstallation. That is the point of the guide.

Yes, with the knowledge I have now.
But at the time I tried to install 8.1 with my 8 Core SL key, I wasn't aware of the tutorial.
    I just shared my experience!

Maybe it sounds confusing, but let me recollect:

    I have 2 hdd's
1 with Windows 8 installed (which is my main rig, cause I do not believe in Windows 8.1)
1 with Windows 8.1 installed for testing purposes and later the ability to upgrade to 8.1.2 or 8.2 or 9 or whatever it is called at that time

Someone on MDL asked for 8 Core SL, I provided a link.

Than somebody used that link to upgrade to 8.1 the same way I did, I gave no tutorial.

Everyone is free to install 8.1 the way they want.
We all have to learn, sometimes from our mistakes, sometimes from our consuming time of getting things together!
