Windows 8 Core SingleLanguage OEM original

Its called OA3.0 which uses MSDM tables in the bios now and just because there is a SLIC 2.0/1 (used by OA2.0) in the bios, doesn't mean it was used for activation because Win 8(.1) Core/Pro/etc doesn't use SLIC anymore in favor of MSDM tables. If it did, a lot more people would be using the OEM method of activation for Windows 8 (ExL Daz Windows Loader). The OEM key that you used or w/e- is locked to the hardware that it came pre-installed on.

Seems you took that key from one machine and put it on another, it will probably get blocked.

At least that is what I have read.

 

I followed the tutorial and used two different ISO's this time.

I made a en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440 -> en_windows_8_pro_vl_x64_dvd_917699 which was 15.5MB.

Must be the ISO's I am using for the en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso -> Win_8_x64_Dell.iso conversion.

UPDATE

Attempting to make SVF for just the install.wim, has gone over 1GB so I will try adding PRO edition to the install.wim of the CoreSL. BTOR's post that he linked me earlier shows the Pro Edition the conversion he did/had so maybe that is it.

 

@Humphrey - I didn't manage to get the SmartVersion patch any smaller then 2.41GB.

If I understand correct you now added the PRO edition to the install.wim of the 'original' Win_8_x64_Dell.iso?
...result: PRO/CSLA image?

 

...thanks for clarifying; so I understood correct. - ...well, its not an exact 1:1 image anymore but I guess people who don't want to dl the 'original' image or a hefty 2.41GB SmartVersion patch won't be bothered. - I just dl your 'test' patch; noticed you removed the link?

How can activate other brands ?

 

It doesn't have to be activated via OEM DELL key afaik. Just try installing, it will pull your key from the MSDM table and once online it'll activate.

Will this work on a lenovo laptop ? Is there anyway I can change the install.wim file with lenovo's ? I have lenovo's install.wim but not the full boot cd.

You mean replacing install.wim will also work, right ? Or only the original install.wim supplied with this download will work on lenovo ?

 

yes it should work fine, but you need to recreate the iso with boot sector and for that you will need windows ADK

 

Wont creating a bootable usb with diskpart work here ? and then I will replace the install.wim

 

Bad links, one of them needs premium account and the other two are 10Kb/s and make you jump through hoops for the download
