after joining my laptop running windows 8 enterprise rtm to domain, i cannot ping or browse any servers or computers by NETBIOS name. i can do so by IP address.. all relevant services are running on the workstation. i have also figured that if i leave the domain and join a random workgroup, i can ping the same servers and computers by NETBIOS. I have never had this problem before... was running windows 8 release preview before, consumer and developer preview before that, and 7989 and some other leaks before that... never encountered this problem. is it a group policy that is blocking this? then why only on the enterprise rtm? please help. thanks.
