Manually extract it, update it manually from device manager.

Don't want to see the intro showing after you first login into your account? Then press ALT F4 and it's gone.. :D Sadly it doesn't skip the whole process and shows then a black screen. :p
Also maybe fun to know is that this intro video is a webpage.

    C:\Windows\System32\oobe\FirstLogonAnim.html

Hmm guys, I thought it requires secure boot when installed on UEFI System? On my System it boots up without a detail or msg about secure boot. And yeah it starts via the *.efi loader. wtf?

It doesn't require it but supports it. And probably OEMs enable it by default.

The latest Free Avira works perfectly. Remember to disable Window 8's embedded antivirus.

Anyone able to get Sandboxie to run? It installs under compatability mode but won't load the driver during first load. It has a problem with the Windows version 6.2 :)

    Ugh...late night. :)

hi. I have installed the RTM version, and the windows store (your apps - apps installed) shows all applications that i installed earlier on release preview. Why is it shows not installed apps in "installed apps" menu? This is a store bug? How can i remove all these datas from my store account?

Is the .iso just x64 or is both x86/x64?

I'm going to guess it's x64 due the filesize... Yes, I'm aware I'm a bit late to this.

From what I have been told on another forum,Windows 8 RTM means the retail version that will go on sale to the public. Is this right?

And first of all, I won't use the 64 bit as I have netbooks. So I would have to buy the 32 bit version.
And also I don't like 64 bit Windows.

But the real question is,does the third party start menu software like Classic Shell and Start Menu 7 still work on Windows 8 RTM? Because I don't want to use the Metro start menu. I need the start button and Windows 7 start menu. Which Classic Shell or Start Menu 7 gives you on Windows 8 Release Preview. Andrea Borman.
