I have few questions. are those RTM files same as the ones will be distributed on MSDN and same as retail ? is the key on page 11 same for all copy or can be used just one time? is it good idea to used it as main system now replace windows 7 or the retail will be different ?
RTM is RTM, every place that will sell/distribute Windows 8 will have RTM. In laymans terms the leaks now are the same as the downloads later. The enterprise key was needed for someone who removed it on accident. Windows 8 cannot be activated at this time unless you have a KMS server with volume license keys or get MSDN keys when they come out. 8 is finished, its your call on whether or not you want to use it on your machine.
The Pro and Enterprise isos should be quite literally the exact same files that will be on MSDN, their sha/md5 values can be compared once they are posted there. The first leak, enterprise-N was not in ISO form and as such is different from what would appear on MSDN (HOWEVER!! The installed OS is the same as the real iso would install).
My only concern with that it the 5 line EULA. I think there will be different ISO's out even if they are the same release.
what does the words in last line of the screen mean? it indicate iso build version? MSDN and retail files will have different number in that line?
I am getting confused here between Enterprise and Pro. Can anyone confirm please? If one to install enterprise, no key needed, everything will works, including media centre. As for the pro, 1 key needed to install, another key for the media centre. However, those keys are not related to activation. Enterprise can be activated through KMS or the cert and key method. Pro on the other hand can't?
I understand the key is included into the leaked Enterprise ISO that's why the setup isn't asking for it. And "1 key for install, 1 key for Media Centre" is true for both Pro and Enterprise. The keys are very much related to activation but the keys that leaked won't activate because they're "default installation keys". If you buy a key of your own, you'll be able to both install and activate Windows using it
Enterprise has the default/trial product key inserted so no key is necessary for installation, Pro needs you to manually enter a key during setup. Pro has either a Retail or Volume key (both again default/trial, either can be used during setup & can switch channel once installed.) Pro can be upgraded to ProWMC via a upgrade key. Core & Enterprise do not include WMC & can't be upgraded to include it either, only Pro can be upgraded to get WMC. Yes Enterprise can be activated through KMS as can Pro. It's best to just go with Pro as it can be activated with either a genuine Retail or Volume key.
So upon installation ofvwin8 pro,it asks for a key before installation can proceed? Just like win8 RP?
It did for me. Tried few of the available keys, Core ones worked too, strangely though one of the Core EULAs seemed to have a RC string at the bottom where others I think say RTM, can remember if it was Retail or Volume, bit sloppy of MS? Maybe I was dreaming LOL or maybe it's nothing.
