What about Enterprise related features (Direct Access, Windows2Go, etc.)? Are those present in converted Windows 8 Professional? Will they continue to work?

Try changing computer location to United States.
Else use an US Microsoft Account (Windows Live account), this worked for the WP7 marketplace.

    Love the definitive explanation.

Playing with Windows To Go and realised the obvious advantage that Activation must be Independant of the Hardware. Going to try downgrade Enteprise Windows2Go to Windows Pro and see if it works for Hardware Independant Activation. Also happy to report that with my test and Fast Start you literally get a free SSD drive with this feature when it comes to Shutdown and Startup. My test rig boots in 10 sec with a HDD and fast start which is almost identical to the same rig without Fast Start and a 120GB SSD (SanDisk Extreme).
Anyway for those who didn't get it after you have changed the settings in the registry you then insert the Pro Disk, run the installation and select upgrade which is actually a downgrade. the installer just thinks you are at Windows 7 Pro.
Hell I think I just confused the issue. I should have just left it @ Obviously noop

I'm having a little problem. Yesterday I installed Norton Antivirus 2012 and my fast booting I mean hybrid boot got disabled . I tried enabling it in power options but the check boxes are grayed out :aglerks:. So what can I do to re-enable it?

That was it?! My pc has been booting so slow (probably ever since I installed Norton) and I never checked if hybrid boot was still enabled.

I'm out right now but tomorrow I'll try to get more info.

I don't know why on earth you would install a 3rd party Antivirus over a Built in one. and expect performance.:waycon1:

What if I don't like the built in one?
Besides, Windows Defender is so nice it shuts itself down as soon as it detects another Antivirus, so that's not even related to the actual issue.
Also, I never read Microsoft stating "We're giving Win8 it's own AV, DON'T INSTALL ANYTHING ELSE YOU FOOLS",
as far as I know you can still install whatever 3rd party option you see fit.

Was the other way around in Win7. MSE is weak, so I removed it, but it sure beats Live OneCare/OneCare Live in performance. Defender was a cute little program, but they should have retired it on the release of MSE.

Neither the tool nor the manual way didn't work for me to downgrade the Ent to Pro.
after all possible ways it remained Enterprise, maybe because of the key I've inserted.

I have a question from the author of the thread or any other MDL member who knows how to activate Enterprise edition at the moment.

Seems the Pro edition is possible to be activated. (Not sure, Am I right ? )
but what about the Enterprise I went through the procedure here,
Had GoGo client and registered mine server, got ping from it,
but the server message always tell me the Key is blocked.
Is there anyone who can give a piece of advice to me how can I activate this.
the Wind I'm trying to activate is the WT version but I also have MSDN version which I didn't try it yet.
please kindly lead me to the correct direction.
