When the windows 8 got leaked, so many peers that helps your torrent, but now, maybe decreased Lucky me to get the ISO from my college, so I can copy it directly

Installed X64 Windows Pro today and metro app's doesn't run, checked system files, they'r fine. It's because i'm not activated I think. Does someone have simillar problems?
How can i surely tell if a certain crack/patch is working? i mean if all slmgr /xpr slmgr /dli slmgr /dlv commands indicate that my windows 8/Server 2012 is activated do i need to look somewhere else to be sure? thanx in advance
I wanted to show a friend that when MDL says there is no working activation atm then there is no ... sfc /scannow did the the job, but now i have another question, in theory isn't it possible that someone come up with a working solution that involves patching lots of system files? what If I am eligible for the 14.99 upgrade and I have already loaded the windows 9200 pro,on oct 26 or when available can I just load windows 7 back on then upgrade to the windows 8 that I just bought,,,,,.... Really what Im saying is- theres no problem with me running windows 8 till I get the upgrade on october 26,right,then I just reload windows 7 and go from there with my legitimate laptop Key number...
Can I upgrade Windows 7 Pro downloaded from dreamspark with student license to Windows 8 Pro not a student license? Yes I can't download Windows 8 Pro from dreamspark with student license again, but would be awesome if I can upgrade to Windows 8 Pro and pay $14 or how cost it for upgrade. Thnaks.
