Crap,then it's off to plan B for me - start digging through my old computers (I've pretty much saved anything working when I replaced it over the years) and try to use old OEM keys to get Win8 cheaply...

Hey can you please tell me how to request the dreamspark account.
I created an account in NSBE (Collegiate) and i pay $15. it was created on Sunday and now it say the $15 was paid by 09/18/12. nothing as of now. any susses stories within this week or last week?

 

If we already got an account, should we do this and try to get another account, or should we leave it alone in fear of our account being shut down?

Hello guys,

Can anyone tell me the exact procedure to obtain a Windows 8 key from Dreamspark?
When I browse this page ***dreamspark***com/Student/Default.aspx?tab=2#TabbedPanels1 I can search for my university and find out that it is enrolled in a Premium subscription. I'm then redirected to a Webstore (onthehub.com page) and can indeed see Windows 8 on the list of available products. However, I can't register on this page; it asks for a "username" that I can't find anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated

Edit: When I created my account on dreamspark.com I used my university email address and was asked later for my ISIC number. It did accept the id.

 

BLS , in your case your teacher/ IT dept must create an account for you.

 

Yep - but You can still get membership and DreamSpark account , just pay 5$.

It doesn't matter.
If You received invitation for DreamSpark prior to last Sunday (or Saturday, i'm not sure), You're accounts are valid, both on NSBE and DreamSpark, at least until expiration date.

 

OK I had a liite question about this NSBE thing...I registered last week but still did not get Dreamspark Premium..will it be safe if I requested for account in the Dreamspark page? One more thing...did u guys receive any sms or call from NSBE confirming that u r now a member or anything like that?

 

it should be ok if you request for an account from the dreamspark page.
never receive any sms or call only email from MSBE
