Yeah, I know what it is. I was just not putting your answer together with the few posts b4 it. Really baked I was. Not even sure what I was thinking at the time.
Hey, Canonua, I want to ask two things: 1: Does build 831X and 832X support snap under 1366*768? 2: Can you give us a leak?
Canouna is not a leaker, he is not going to be, furthermore with 8 there's nothing so much special to leak at all Canouna maybe will share some Metro apps?
open task manager. select "performance" tab. Right-click on the left portion of window for option, select "summary view". you can also hide graphs to get ugly color circles. Right-click on the right portion of the window has other options as well.
Okay, sorry for asking leaks, but my first question still hasn't been answered. I only dislike Windows 8 because of no snap under 1366*768.
I have problems to get autoupdate to work. It give me Error 0xC004F076 ! I have stop the WindowsUpdate service and delete the content from C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and start the service again but i still get the Error 0xC004F076 .
What do you guys think about Microsoft not updating the core desktop apps? Media Player, Media Center, System Panel, many administrative tools, picture viewer, desktop Gadgets, sticky notes, Paint, WordPad, Notebook, the interface of IE10 and many more didn't got real improvements with Windows 8. To be honest, I'm very disappointed about that. You?
Maybe its because the desktop is considered "legacy" in Windows 8, Windows 8 is all about tablets right.
Probably because the idea was to make those components 'modular' in a way. They may enhance those apps later and you can download them if you want to them. I find third party versions of most of those apps are sometimes better and free. I guess it may eliminate the need for anti-competitive rulings for windows 8 'N' versions too.
Just as a general note, I have been using Windows CP for a while and I am surprised how stable and good this new OS is (for a Beta), its faster, great performance.. Whatever installed on this worked great (except for the esxi5 Vmware client - it installs but the console tab does not work - even with the latest build).. I am getting used to it and even started liking it.. MS is heading on the right direction, this OS can be a winner... but one BIG flaw.. Metro UI... But by deleting all those useless big (terrible choice of colors) square shortcuts and adding manually new ones on the start Metro Menu makes it a lot usable... if it wasn't for the ugly Metro UI!! it could be a 10! (being assimilated.. resistance is futile...) Is there any way to change the size of the squares in Metro IU (I know you can do small/larger) but I am taking about make it a 'custom' size.. registry key maybe??
The only way i know, is to right-click on one of the larger tiles and then at the bottom left-click smaller. Apart from that i don't know, since i don't use Win8 CP anymore.
So lets kill the desktop gui?? some how I don't see Desktop computers becoming a legacy anytime soon I think Apple has done better in this area while they still have updated Desktop OS's they have IPAD and such not limiting the consumer to just a touch interface like Microsoft seems to being undertaking in their new WCP having said all that tablets or cloud computing probably will be the future of most if not all modern technology. But if Microsoft's aim is off the desktop in terms of marketing Windows 8 are they not entering this market a little late considering IPAD, Android, etc.
