    You are talking about Aero lite.
    As far as I know in WIn8 there will be a normal aero theme (I think the one used in the screenshot) and the aero lite theme.

    No, in 7989 there were 2 aeros.
    The normal one with white blur and flat buttons, and the one if you switched to basic theme and enabled trasperancy, also with flat buttons.

    But it's some time ago since I used Win8 so I could be completely wrong.

    Public Beta is free and open to <everyone> to download.

    uhm.. You seem outraged o_0 That's how it works. I guess you didn't beta test Win 7 or any other software for that matter. There is not charge for beta code, never was.
