When you format with Windows, it saves system info somewhere, and that's not what you want. If you boot to partition utility CD/DVD and format from there, it gets rip of everything in the partition.
Suggest, usually it works 10 times to nine: Create a boot USB stick with Seven, boot from there, go on until you have to choose on which partition install windows, format all and create 2 partitions: 1 - it could be better 80 gig for the system(if u have big HD, otherwise 40 will be enough...) 2 - the remain space for your data When finished, just abort the installation, and restart the system, meantime remove the 7 usb stick, put your WDP one (or DVD..) and try so.... I've had same issue on my old HP, solved as above described installing 7955.... Good luck.... PS creating 2 partition it will be a good suggest to keep as default for every PC or new installation
6.2, it's already there. 7.0 is probably reserved for a bigger step (could be dropping support for older software etc)
