    I just rearmed but haven't done a reboot yet, I thought I should show this first. But you mean the system reset function? Doesn't that reset all my settings and registry stuff too?

    EDIT: The fact that I can rearm maybe does mean I don't have the correct key afterall. It's the gvlkPreRelease key from product.ini, but I thought rearm was only possible with the grace key? Or can you also rearm with a kms key?

    I dunno about all that.
    I've done a re-install (multiples since 7989) and a Refresh with Win8 8102 Dp and have never been asked for a key or ever felt the need to proffer one.

    That's because I intentionally installed a wrong key with slmgr to test something.

    Can't you activate from here: Control Panel\System and Security\Action Center\Windows Activation ?

    @canouna: But in the language packs, not all is translated (Ribbons, etc).

    But I think it's not about the key, as it accepted the key I have now. It just gives the KMS error but I think I can fix that with a propper keygen. I now have the modded "unbricked" one, but it's smaller than the original one so maybe windows stuff is removed from that.

    Except for the gvlkPreRelease key, all prerelease keys inproduct.ini give an invalid SKU error, so I'll have to go with the gvlk key I guess.

    What does MS know?? I downloaded my iso from their official website, and I have a key installed now that comes from their own product.ini in that official iso.
    Nothing weird about that. Or do you have some unofficial things? :D
