Yes, there were and are roumors about a MSDN/Technet pre-release. Ms often does this, for example with Windows 7, the release was one or two months before general availability. I hope it's true
why do people think that the consumer preview will be available on msdn tomorrow? is there any fact of pure speculation??
Because I know everything ... ... ... joking. But this information is 99.99% surely legit. 2.6 Gb for 8250.0.winmain_win8beta.120218 x86.
Cuz some posted a link to an article that stated "is likely to make available for download on 24/02/2012."
I get the impression that some people here already have the CP. I don't. Unfortunately. Only 6 days to go though. I can wait. I think. Does anyone know if the CP will run on VMWare Workstation 8 (8.0.1 build-528992) ?
Well, Microsoft didn’t provide a product key for beta installation, Windows 8 Consumer Preview doesn’t ask for any product key. Same as Windows 8 Developer Preview ISO (product.ini) with all product keys.
or else we could download the iso and install it 2moro if released and run it without a key installed for the 30 day period and by that time if a key is required the beta links will be up anyways and we will be able to get our keys legally on the 29th anyways
Somehow I don't expect it to happen considering it is a "Consumer" preview. It would be nice though. Besides, they typically post ahead of time to let people know that they are doing so if they post it on MSDN/Technet first if I remember correctly.
required: 1GHz or faster 32bit (x86) processor Windows 7 SP1 works great on the same Athlon XP 2800+ so I hope they still support it.
