What's all the comotion about? The installer is real, it's been confirmed useless several times so can people just shutup? Wait untill the 29th of February it's a simple as that, the installer won't leak since it has it's own unique signature tied to the person it belongs to. Yes, I believe Fraggy, I know he's not going to pull a lie out of his pocket like that and it's been confirmed real elsewhere. So stop bashing him and grow up, he decided to reveal information on it because people DEMAND new information and beg yet you treat him like a peice of s**t. If people don't show a little respect to people, why should they reveal new things?
I know that Fraggy has an installer, and yes it is real. But I can see where others are coming from when saying they do not believe you, since its a screenshot. If people want to avoid this type of commotion, upload a video.. 30 seconds will do, just to prove to those ungrateful idiots that you are telling the truth. Thank you for your time, now then. Off to test Windows 8 in my dreams ;D
That's exactly, what I mean! Btw, this thread is named Windows 8 General Discussion, so please no more bashing, trollpostings etc.,
I think activation will be same as WDP, pre-activated, it just simplifies things for the public releases and allows Microsoft to shrowd the activation system until RTM.
if I remember well, for windows 7 beta keys were used, right? or vista .. I like to confuse them slightly ..
Windows 7 had a batch of 5 keys at beta, with unlimited activations. WDP was the first time since the early XP Beta that a build did not require activation.
It requires also an activation, but it makes it in the Background over the internet. If you install WDP without internet connection, it isn't activated.
I see some people really want this thread to be closed until real WCP release. How to prepare my Windows 7 SP1 for upgrade to W8 CP? What will happen with old windows 7 files? Sure I want to keep my personal files and programs on C:\ and D:\ . Will old Windows 7 files from C:\Windows be replaced/removed or just moved to Windows.old? I don't have more than 50GB on C: to keep Windows 7 & 8 files, programs, hibernation file and pagefile.sys
CP is Beta so you shouldn't install it over your Windows 7 installation. Remember what happened with Win7 Beta and mp3 files. If you have Windows 7 the best way to try Windows 8 CP is booting it natively from a VHD.
