    Activate Windows overlay is popping up again after a reboot. Seriously how do you get rid of this? i use slmgr -upk to remove the key to get rid of it. Do we even need the key since we can't even activate it any way?

    I found the Activate overlay resources in "C:\Windows\System32\twinui.dll", but Microsoft have done something to that file, PEExplorer and Resource Hacker have real problems working with it, I tried to gray out the key bmp file in resource 7701 to 7704 but wasn't able to save it, we may be able to hex edit the file and make the entire image the mask color, but really I am not interested in removing the watermark... I just want to activate it away ;)

    Somebody had tried that but it still asks for login/password on startup, didn't know what happened.

    yea tools that may mess up the system... better to use the original MS settings that are built into windows :)

    Hm, that's right but I never had any problems w/ this particular tool. That's why I recommended it.
