thanks, but why so complicated? why not export the classic shell configuration to a file and add the resources to copy to the classic shell program folder?
It's coming......... MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.PROFESSIONAL.RTM.X86.VOLUME.ENGLISH.DVD-WZT MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.PROFESSIONAL.RTM.X64.VOLUME.ENGLISH.DVD-WZT via WZForums
I made it for my own uses and shared it, my entire Windows 8 is about to be LastOS Modded - with ssWPI and SetupS Apps, a LivePE or if we get a x86 version soon I'll try out a Windows To Go and see if that will take it's place. I am also curious if we can make the Windows Go install to a PC as the main OS, then I can just keep my "Go" up to date and well modded and I image that to my house holds PC's. So many interesting things we can explore with this OS. So I didn't make the Classic Shell complicated (for me), I made it upgradeable and use the menu sorting shown below. Image shows LastOS menu sorting in action (it's automated by SetupS). ssWPI is similar to WPI, a simple way to install desktop apps silently. I am not sure how much people will be relying on the Desktop in a few months, maybe Metro will work out better for all of us... but if not, the windows 8 core is better than the win 7 one in many ways. ------ That said, if you wanted to, install the original Classic Shell, copy the Orb.png from the collection I made (or find any Start orb png you want and put it in your skins folder. Finally run the ClassicStartMenu.reg file I included and you'll have the same results (after a reboot)... Easier to run the .exe as Administrator right?
Search for "windows bootable image creator 1.2" and use it in windows 7 mode it will create a bootable iso then just burn it to a dvd.
MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.ENTERPRISE.RTM.X86.VOLUME.ENGLISH.DVD-WZT MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.ENTERPRISE.RTM.X64.VOLUME.ENGLISH.DVD-WZT cooming soon via WZT
Out of all of these, MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.PROFESSIONAL.RTM.X86.VOLUME.EN GLISH.DVD-WZT MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.PROFESSIONAL.RTM.X64.VOLUME.EN GLISH.DVD-WZT MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.ENTERPRISE.RTM.X86.VOLUME.ENGL ISH.DVD-WZT MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.ENTERPRISE.RTM.X64.VOLUME.ENGL ISH.DVD-WZT which one should I download when they become available?? (x86/x64 doesn't matter... just suggest me between PRO & ENT) And also, will that PRO version require key or not??
sure it's possible but it might be a lot of work maybe by replacing tokens file perhaps doing an anytime upgrade afterwards but probably not worth the effort
Windows 8 Pro is the best for most users, unless your after "Windows Go", then you need Enterprise. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_8_editions
They are all "volume" editions, i.e. WZOR will embed a key to skip the key entry on installation, but it would be like the leaked Ent. edition, the windows will be in notification mode.
there's not really anything to suggest here if enterprise is like the already leaked enterprise N i'd stick with that until we know how to activate it probably doesn't matter anyways i wonder what the difference between pro and enterprise is if they are both supposed to be activated by kms?! edit: ok i guess windows to go makes enterprise more interesting
