The slideshows given in the first N release showed that people had to use the internet to activate their PC once they purchase it. I "think" that Pre-Activation will not exist this time. -EDIT- The KMS server may allow you to emulate an activation, but until someone can activate and see what is stored locally, no one can really be working on a solution
There's a table somewhere (I forgot the webpage) that lists version of Windows 8 and their relevant activation methods, and offline is definately on there for Enterprise version.
So seriously guys i gotta ask, which version is better overall? the Enterprise or the Pro? and which version has offline activation? Enterprise or Pro? Thanks.
Both have their merits and demerits according to their expected use. Be specific for yours intentional use .... or you just looking for the best
Yea but it has offline activation? some dude here mentioned that only the Pro has it. Boyfriend: i'm looking for the best one ;p, and the one that has offline activation.
Enterprise has windows to go and offline activation. Professional is strictly online activation only and no windows to go.
Enterprise support KMS activation, while Pro has online activation. Enterprise don't has Media Center, but has Direct Access and Windows 2 Go. Pro has Media Center probability after paying $ to MS.
Only N version doesn't have media player that's what the N means. Yes I havn't tried it myself but it should have media player.
What do you mean by untrusted ? do you think it's possible that the iso was altered and spyware added ?
Looking forward to the x86 leak, I got some speed tests to do on these atom chips, so I can finally see how much better Windows 8 is at low end hardware than what 7 is. I need to see the numbers I already know that Windows 8 on a high end machine is a lot better than 7 (optimizations) and it loves SSD's so much more than 7 too. Best new Explorer features IMO - Pause Copy/Moves and file queues.
downloading at 1,1MB/s i have Win 7 Pro with VLK key, so if i want to upgrade this sys i must have Win 8 Pro edition?
