I'm curious too... Downloaded and installed x64 Pro from links in the main Windows 8 FAQ thread (post submission won't let me include a link). Checksum matches etc. Winver shows Version 6.2 (Build 9200). If this is Final RTM why is the Windows help file still subject to change and relates to Release Preview all the way through? That wouldn't be the case if this was RTM would it? Or is the help file just liable to an update? But this is RTM? Edit: Ooops just switched between online and offline help and I see the difference now. Nowt about "Subject to change etc" as quoted above.
Live messenger doesn't make any sounds, it wasn't a problem when I signed in to Windows with my Microsoft account but now that I changed to a local account it's really annoying. The sound tab looks like this: gyazo.com/5f67e0aca95fe0c27e778196fdba6428.png
Hey guys, Are you all still using local accounts still or is it now OK to sign it with a MSN\Outlook\Hotmail account etc.?? What happens to the local account I have been using so far if I should do this?? Cheers, M
Installed Enterprise N Version. All works great but in language bar appears French language which I don't need. Tried several times to remove it, but anyway it appears WTF?
tomorrow is the day windows 8 will be on msdn/technet and hopefully verify the leaked ISO`s MD5 hashes with MS ones I am pretty confident the leaked iso`s are genuine and do not differ from tomorrow`s one`s on msdn/TechNet
It's night in Redmond. I think 9:00 - 12:00 AM EST would be good. For example in Poland is 11:10 AM (15.08) and still no up on MSDN.
Should be all languages. Edit: Checked with the support on MSDN they had not received that info. They asked me to call customer service center to confirm it.
