I've had exactly the same experience, and I've also been following that thread and waiting for a solution. Adding Windows Media Center also fails because of this problem.
It's been a good while now since MS released KB2756872 and it's very clear that a lot of people have big problems with it! MS should have put more into resolving this issue, I think it's that same thread that even has tales of ppl returning brand new laptops to the shops because KB2756872 keeps failing! If you should run across a fix please PM it to me.
KB2770917 changes my Windows drive from C:\ to X:\ I could not boot into Windows. Luckily I was able to use system restore. I attempted three times to install KB2770917 all attempts changed OS drive letter to X. Any ideas on why, or how to fix?
@McRip Why did you add and subsequently remove KB2737084 from your repo? If that is the case, which update supersedes KB2737084? Thanks for your information.
@ McRip I believe you need to remove the following updates from the Win 8 repository: 2762576 2768698 2768703
I found a generell problem this is about updates in relation to tokens.dat. this is effects at least amd64 (used wmc edition): KB2756872, KB2768702 If you EVER used "slmgr /rilc" for anything, than the tokens.dat becomes kind of invalid. This has to be a bug, as this command is used for reinstalling licenses (if something gets wrong - or as we know from the Win7 loaders) I use this command in my 'Bypass Modern UI' tool. (due the WU problems - now offline - sry for any uncomfort to all users at this point - restore option should fix all problems) My tests result in: If you just do rilc (let's say for fun - or because you can and it shouldn't do any harm and without any other modifications) than at least the mentioned updates can't be applied anymore. If you use the original tokens.dat than the installations works flawlessly. The new generated tokens.dat is about 700kb bigger than the original one. I don't understand this but this are my results. Tested on WMC, unactivated, amd64, retail
Download many times Windows8-RT-KB2769165-x64.msu 162.5 MB from MS or McRip Repository by Firefox or IE, all get "The signature of this file is corrupt or invalid" and it becomes useless. Anyone can explain and howto solve it? Fine with Windows Update on my comp but just want to download to slipstream.
Just be ware that integrating the MSU's directly will result in the GDR version of the update being used (Windowsupdate distributed fixes and KB specific issues), not the LDR (all fixes) version.
KB2772501 can be integrated, if we ever find the proper command line to use (I notice the propdesc is embedded in the EXE) we need to figure out how to point it to the mounted wim One of these might work Code: 000000003292 00000000321F 0 ConvertStringSecurityDescriptorToSecurityDescriptorW 0000000032C8 000000003255 0 ADVAPI32.dll 0000000032D8 000000003265 0 FindResourceExW 0000000032EA 000000003277 0 LoadResource 0000000032FA 000000003287 0 WriteFile 000000003306 000000003293 0 SizeofResource 000000003318 0000000032A5 0 CreateFileW 000000003326 0000000032B3 0 GetLastError 000000003336 0000000032C3 0 LockResource 000000003346 0000000032D3 0 CloseHandle 000000003354 0000000032E1 0 DeleteFileW 000000003362 0000000032EF 0 LocalFree 00000000336C 0000000032F9 0 KERNEL32.dll 000000003384 000000003311 0 _XcptFilter 000000003392 00000000331F 0 _amsg_exit 0000000033A0 00000000332D 0 __getmainargs 0000000033B0 00000000333D 0 __set_app_type 0000000033CA 000000003357 0 _exit 0000000033D2 00000000335F 0 _cexit 0000000033DC 000000003369 0 _ismbblead 0000000033EA 000000003377 0 __setusermatherr 0000000033FE 00000000338B 0 _initterm 00000000340A 000000003397 0 __C_specific_handler 000000003422 0000000033AF 0 _acmdln 00000000342C 0000000033B9 0 _fmode 000000003436 0000000033C3 0 _commode 000000003440 0000000033CD 0 msvcrt.dll 00000000344E 0000000033DB 0 ?terminate@@YAXXZ 000000003462 0000000033EF 0 SHCreateDirectoryExW 00000000347A 000000003407 0 SHGetSpecialFolderPathW 000000003492 00000000341F 0 SHELL32.dll 0000000034A0 00000000342D 0 CoUninitialize 0000000034B2 00000000343F 0 CoInitialize 0000000034C0 00000000344D 0 ole32.dll 0000000034CC 000000003459 0 PSRegisterPropertySchema 0000000034E8 000000003475 0 PSUnregisterPropertySchema 000000003506 000000003493 0 PSGetPropertyDescriptionByName 000000003528 0000000034B5 0 PSGetPropertyKeyFromName 000000003542 0000000034CF 0 PROPSYS.dll 000000003550 0000000034DD 0 PathRemoveFileSpecW 000000003566 0000000034F3 0 SHRegSetUSValueW 00000000357A 000000003507 0 PathFileExistsW 00000000358A 000000003517 0 SHLWAPI.dll 000000003598 000000003525 0 Sleep 0000000035A0 00000000352D 0 GetStartupInfoW 0000000035B2 00000000353F 0 SetUnhandledExceptionFilter 0000000035D0 00000000355D 0 GetModuleHandleW 0000000035E4 000000003571 0 QueryPerformanceCounter 0000000035FE 00000000358B 0 GetCurrentProcessId 000000003614 0000000035A1 0 GetCurrentThreadId 00000000362A 0000000035B7 0 GetSystemTimeAsFileTime 000000003644 0000000035D1 0 GetTickCount 000000003654 0000000035E1 0 RtlCaptureContext 000000003668 0000000035F5 0 RtlLookupFunctionEntry 000000003682 00000000360F 0 RtlVirtualUnwind 000000003696 000000003623 0 UnhandledExceptionFilter 0000000036B2 00000000363F 0 GetCurrentProcess 0000000036C6 000000003653 0 TerminateProcess 0000000036DA 000000003667 0 LocalAlloc 0000000036E8 000000003675 0 wcschr 0000000036F2 00000000367F 0 iswalpha ... 000000000470 0000000003FD 0 Microsoft\Internet Explorer 0000000004B0 00000000043D 0 SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Setup 000000000508 000000000495 0 RegisterIEPKeys 000000000528 0000000004B5 0 ie9props.propdesc 000000000550 0000000004DD 0 Microsoft.IE.TargetUrl 000000000580 00000000050D 0 Microsoft.IE.TargetUrlHostName 0000000005C0 00000000054D 0 Microsoft.IE.TargetUrlPath 0000000005F8 000000000585 0 Microsoft.IE.VisitCount 000000000628 0000000005B5 0 Microsoft.IE.SelectionCount 000000000660 0000000005ED 0 Microsoft.IE.Title 000000000688 000000000615 0 Microsoft.IE.FeedItemLocalId 0000000006D0 00000000065D 0 %ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\ie9props.propdesc 000000000740 0000000006CD 0 O:S-1-5-32-544G:S-1-5-32-544D:P(A;CIOI;GA;;;S-1-5-80-956008885-3418522649-1831038044-1853292631-2271478464)(A;CIOI;GA;;;S-1-5-32-544)(A;CIOI;GA;;;S-1-5-18)(A;CIOI;GXGR;;;BU)
Link to workaround for installing KB2770917 posted by moonrak eariler I can't post the link :-( but here is the procedure It worked for me.... Run msconfig Go to Services Tab check "hide all M$oft services" click "Disable all" then ok Install update 2770917 After all is done - run msconfig again, and enable the services previously disabled
Exactly the link, but all downloads with signature invalid and dism with error. Download the file from McRip the signature there invalid too. Seems MS server traffic too high that can not sync. Windows Download Integrator_3.3 makes false dism without any error message, then check Get Packages from WIM no KB2769165 package there. Anyone have good file can upload somewhere could be appreciated - check properties and security. Edit: Finally, download with Flashget, it recheck when finishing download and now Digital Signatures OK, strange.
After install Win8 updates and installation of LDR updates, but installs ldr automatically deducted. Not let any more LDR updates to install. M$ blocks ldr updates.
KB2770440 is an 'Additional' update as well, as it's only for Hyper-V. It won't install on a standard install.
how add all updates into iso ? i try down. integrator add to iso but after install win i cant see any upd. installed
