Sorry, what do you mean? You can force install LDR updates if LDR versions are available. If an update is just for a system file that has had to previous hotfixes, either available by request or internally, then it will be just a GDR update. If there is a following hotfix, then there will be an LDR version, and all following security updates will have both a GDR and LDR version (except if it has just an LDR version).
If I update first Windows update (all) and after use komm (all) updates. After installeld komm updates correctly. Restart pc and all komm updates rollbacks silent. Just stay only windows updates default (GDR 16442). Windows updates not let use another updates (LDR). I've tried several times. Something so.. Why is it necessary to re-install the installed updates?
Hello... Could somebody provide me MSU file KB2770407 both for x32 and x64... ...or just tell me of which another update is this one part of? I can't find it in Windows Update Catalog either...
I think it is installed even before that... ...but thanks anyway EDIT: It installs together with ANY very 1st update you download... ...if you uninstall it, it doesn't install again ...and it can't be downloaded as standalone/redist... ...and it can be found only in CP\Programs and Features\Installed Updates (NOT in \CP\Windows Update\History Very strange... :/
Make sure all msu with Digital Signatures OK. DISM GUI.exe is most convenient tool for integrate into wim.
Glad that helped. KB2771744 supersedes KB2751352-v2. Ah, I didn't know KB2770407 installed with that other one.
YW The info is from looking inside the updates to see what they contain and then comparing to others. I don't see that KB2737084 is superseded.
@PointZero and moderate Guys, thank you for your replies. Regarding KB2737084, I find it weird that it is omitted from McRip's repo. That is why I am asking that question.
McRip & another user called Komm, are running their own Windows Hotfix Repositories. They are pretty much the reason most of us are here! Please read the first post of this thread.
Is it possible at all to get more updates LDR? Updates still GDR? Force does not work still GDR. Why are not updated anymore LDR? I'm getting BSOD every few minutes. When I use the defrag. M$ blocks updates or what?
Updates distributed by Windowsupdate (general distribution updates) only have a GDR version, unless the files contained within have already been updated by a hotfix, in which case the GDR version is used, unless the previous hotfix is installed in which case the LDR update is used. This is why it is ideal to install the LDR version if possible (all previous fixes to the files). Updates that are LDR only (without looking I'm not sure of any for Windows 8 yet) contain only the main path update.mum file, not the secondary update-bf.mum file. It is still a LDR version which is installed. At the moment a lot of the updates for Windows 8 will only be GDR, since they haven't already been replaced in hotfixes and they are WU updates. That said, there is something wrong if 'all of them' are only installing GDR, since several of them do actually contain both GDR and LDR versions (including the large update pack updates). My installer works for these
