Not sure what I did wrong. But I've used Windows Download Integrator with great success in the past for slipstreaming updates into Windows 8 ISO. Yesterday, I made integrated all updates/hotfix for Windows 8 x64 using this program and formatted my c: drive and clean installed Windows 8. However, Windows Update still shows me to install KB2770917 and KB2771431 even though those two updates were integrated using the tool. Any idea ?
...because a x64 system uses the full AMD64/EM64T instruction set of the CPU, whereas x86 system and/or apps are invoked on a WoW64 x86 emulation mode only, that can be a bit slower than the native x64 CPU instructions (native x64-compiled programs are working better than emulated x86 applications). Thus, in certain situations, updating a x64 system can be faster than updating a x86, cause of faster servicing processing.

It does (if kb2764954 is what I think it is) . I already had it to be removed in the old update remover. btw, updated the old update remover again (same 21 Dec link as before and in the signature), I missed one or two things before.
Many thanks for the proper explanation PointZero, I had heard that Komm was having hosting problems, but I have been away since, then noticed that his site had changed, and just assumed that he was between providers, or had given up. Glad he, and his site are OK.
Has any one know which hotfix cant use dism to integrated windows 8 RTM ? when want try to use dism integrated hotfix in the wim file but has a error . Error Code : 0x800f081e , the specified package is not applicable to this image , have any can help us ?
thanks friend .... i will try again with out this hotfix ... but i has found 3 hotfix cant be integrated , has any one know which other 2 hotfix cant be integrated ?
