Are this only official updates or also unreleased ones? Official ones are also QFE ones that need to be requested but that are actually finished. And what's the thing about wu? I know that in windows 7 if you install an updated in QFE mode then all future updates will be instelled in QFE mode instead of GDR mode. With windows 8 that's not the case anymore? And what if a particular update from here is installed and then the same update is released later on WU, but slightly improved/updated. Will WU install the new "updated" update over this one or not?

Enable .Net 3.5 in Windows 8 without download: Online: Code: Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:x:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess Offline: Code: Dism /image:%tmpdir% /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:x:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
What is the all switch for? I can't find it on microsoft's info about dism. Or is it the same as /enableall?
/All - to include all subfeatures of the named Feature (in this case NetFx3), as stated in the Optional Features GUI dialog (WCF HTTP/Non-HTTP Activation).
Hi there I have Installed an unouched Windows 8 PL Enterprise x64 VL. Which updates I have to install? Are the designed for Windows RT too? I have seen that almost all of avaiable updates are designed for Windows 8 RT
Only the KBid-arm are for Windows RT. The notation Windows8-RT-KBid-platform mean RTM in this case. What the update is designed for, is determined by the platform. - arm: Windows RT (ARM WoA SoC. Yet to be released preinstalled on ARM-based tablets) - x86: Windows 8 Client for x86 based Systems - x64: Windows 8 Client for x64 based Systems and Server 2012 (The same package is often applicable to both OS types)
MS read my post, they just release 2753614 for arm with the latest bth.inf so 2746662 is superseded anyway.
komm just want to point out that MicrosoftCodecPack*.msi in /Client and Server/Additions (NON .msu)/ is not compatible with Windows 8
