I install update x86bit, What is it?
URGENT! KB2756872 may be a borked update, crashed due to NDIS.sys version 6.2.9200.20521. It's definitely not the Windows install - I did a fresh install to make sure! EDIT: Found the cause of the issue, it was an issue with an update Broadcom ethernet driver (which I don't even use), the default Windows 8 driver works fine for it (v15.2.x). The newer v15.4.x was the cause of the issue. This is a strange one, since it was never causing issues before!
Definitely a driver issue If you experience the same thing, try using a different ethernet/wifi driver version. Sorry for the urgency in the last message!
I installed these updates. I was instructed to restart and I did. Upon restarting I got this message: "Failure configuring Windows updates Reverting changes Do not turn off your computer." I let it revert. The computer restarted. Again I got the same message. I let it revert again. I went through this cycle 3 times without being able to get back into Windows 8. Now I'm back in Windows 7 doing a restore from backup. Anybody else have trouble with these updates?
