This has been reported a few times already. But there are a few things that aren't clear in this post. Most of the features mentioned here for both Hyper-V and .VHDX will not be of any real use in Windows 8, they are clearly designed for use in Server 8. Hyper-V 3.0 (like Hyper-V 1.0 and 2.0) will be x64 Host only, although Guests can be both X86 and X64. I've never seen/herd anything about ARM Emulation/Virtualisation. So i've no idea where the WP7/7.5/8 emulation talk comes from in the posted link. Other than the fact that the WP7 Emulator runs better on systems with VT Extentsions, but thats a Hardware thing. The CPU limits on Hyper-V 3.0 will really limit the PC's this will work on. I've personally tried to install Hyper-V 3.0 on the 10+ PC's I have access too and its only Fully installed on one (a HP Proliant Server) On most it installs the Hyper-V Management software (which is an add-on for Vista and Win7 now) I believe this will cause more problems than XPMode did with the VT Extensions limit. Considering this Full Hyper-V 3.0 will probably be limited to Enterprise and Ultimate x64 only. With VirtualPC/XPMode available for all other SKU's.
