Light Scribe Control Panel + Diagnostic Utility v1-18-26-7 - It refuses to install Yes work in win 7 compatibility mode Win 8 was not tested right no leaks now is a trash till first sp1
Another addition: 10. ZyXEL NetUSB Share Center v1-04c - Can't be runned just after installation, reboot is required unlike in W7, however applications will not mention it. Reports "Incomplete installation" after starting the application. 11. MS Essentials 2012 v16-4-3503-0728 - Troubles locating DLLs since \Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared (and other two directories) aren't added to patch (variable). I dunno if it is fixed in v16-4-3505-0912. These directories should be added to your patch variable (for x64): C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live; C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live; C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared; 12. MS Baseline Security Analyzer v2-2 - Isn't too much compatible with IE10. IE10 often crashes, when opens links "How to correct this" and "What was scanned" from MSBA. Here are another issues: I. Windows Update doesn't update Windows Defender to version 4.1, while there is already version 4.1 of MSSE for ages. II. Malicious Software Removal Tool - isn't neither updated nor installed (MRT.EXE) III. Adobe Flash for IE (AX) - although it was already updated two times, still didn't make it to current version.
FIFA 13 working just install dx9.0c full package and net framework 3.5 Batman arkham city working just install GFWL and set windows 7 comp also win 7 compatibility to bac launcher and batmanarkam city.exe
Microsoft Flight Simulator X I tried to get it to work as Standard and as DeLuxe, also in compatibility mode for XP , Vista and Windows 7 and it did NOT work. Will contact Microsoft if an solution is available.
Update: 13. MS Messenger 2012 v16-4-3503-0728 - In case, you want regular tray icon, you have to run it in Vista SP2 Compatibility mode. But if you do this, the app will just freeze in login phase. I dunno if it is fixed in v16-4-3505-0912. Solution: Just add parameter "/backgroung" to all starting shortcuts (even win-autostart.)
Update: 14. Garmin Communicator Plugin v4-0-3 - It doesn't like IE10 too much. Many IE10 crashes, when detected the navigation device.
Update: 15. Auslogics Registry Cleaner v2-4-0-10 - It doesn't remember last scan date, it always shows "never". Otherwise it works ok.
Thanks for feedback. Maybe you have used the older version v2-4-0-5 (as Aulogics has currently chaos in Registry Cleaner versions (and also Duplication Finder version, where they even downgraded from v2-4-0-11 to v2-4-0-10)? I have same date format. I'll ask Auslogics support to correct this, as I am registered user of their Pro defragmentation program...
Update: 16. Huawei 3G UMTS USB - After safe removal operation is done for SD card the safe removal tray icon doesn't disappear and shows three dots "..." instead the device.
It appears because at least one removable device is still plug which can't be removed safely. Unplug Huawei 3G USB and it will disappear.
It is combined device (USB stick), which has SD storage card in it also 3G UMTS "modem", virtual COM port and few other (virtual) devices (like enumerator etc.). The three dots are connected with this device, however issue is not connected with SD card part.
I know this all because I am using EV-DO Rev. B 9.3 Mbps device (just upgrade from Rev. A 3.1 Mbps device which I was using since 2007) which also has SD slot for storage card. Windows 7 and Windows 8, both of them show USB safety remove icon when it is connected. The difference is that Windows 7 recognizes it by name and show icon to remove it though it can't remove it, while Windows 8 show icon only which means it is connected but can't be removed safely. In my view, Windows 8 option is better EDIT: I am talking ^ about device only. If there is SD/mSD card in it, it is shown correctly and can be removed safely like standard USB options.
In W7 "my" UMTS stick can be removed anytime via tray icon. I've investigated the issue and found, that it is W8 error, which needs to be fixed, so I've reported it to MS today. It is quite serious W8 system error. Generally: In W8 some devices when plugged, show "..." in tray icon instead the HW to remove, so they can't be safely removed. In my case, they are: -eSATA Optical Drive, connected to eSATA in AHCI mode to Intel Mobile RST -HUAWEI UMTS/SD USB
Well...on some installations I have faced this bug too. If external drive is connected, sometimes there is no option to remove it. The solution I am using is click safety remove icon --> Open Devices and Printers --> again click safety remove icon and disk is listed properly. This solution works for external HDD (USB/eSATA).
Update: 17. Realtek Diagnostic Utility v2-0-2-1 - it doesn't have W8 driver and it doesn't display Realtek NIC adapter. 18. Realtek Diagnostic Utility v2-0-2-2 - it doesn't install properly a then it doesn't display anything. It happens, if you install version v2-0-2-2 without uninstalling v2-0-2-1 first. In this situation invoking of v2-0-2-1 uninstaller is needed: I. Kill not responding icon from tray using Task Manager, then uninstall faulty v2-0-2-2 II. Install v2-0-2-1, quit it from system tray, wait a moment, then uninstall it. III. Install v2-0-2-2 again, now it should work.
