Another couple of incompatible apps 1st -Beware of the latest Catalyst Chipset drivers - I installed them over the weekend they nuked a pair of my machines - A 780G-based laptop and 890FX-based desktop (namely my HTPC) 2nd -Some DVB-T2/DVB-S2 tuners just can't work with Windows Media Center on an upgrade-install of 8 x64. Same goes for some audio streaming apps from the Store (ie - Tunein). For now the only way to get 'em to work appears to be a clean install 3rd - The Arduino Duemilanove drivers (both supplied over Windows Update and from the Arduino website) are not working for the time being, which renders a lot of programmers semi-useless for the time being.

My Corel Paint shop Pro X3 and Corel Roxio Creator 211 Pro. Ultimate both fairly new programs that were installed on Win7, can't be installed because of the new OS. Also there is no way you can contact Corel to get help.
Yes, there is only single CPU support, also no x64 system templates are available and hw acceleration VT-x/AMD-V is missing too, so I am adding it to the list: 24. Oracle VirtualBox v4-2-4-81684 BTW: You have disabled Hyper-V by stopping its service only or by unchecking/uninstalling completely it from system components?
Photoshop CS6 has a flikering Workspace with ATI Cards on Windows 8. I dont know whos fault it is the Drivers or PS. But u can bypass this if u turn off GPU Support in Photoshop.
hmmm, interesting, I have some old nvidia GTX 275, which is OK, I'll test the issue on some other configuration in time.
Hmmm, that quite clears the advantage to have Hyper-V enabled system. I didn't correct the problem by simply stopping Hyper-V service in Hyper-V management. I'll try some other solutions to have access to both Hyper-V and VirtualBox, but I am not too optimistic... :/
Can you Add HP DeskJet 2050 J510 to your list printer is only 5 weeks old win8 x64 drivers from HP site not working properly PC has problems communicating with printer Am waiting on a solution from HP I know its only a cheap printer but it should be compatible with win 8 I will let you know as soon as they fix this (if they do ) Regards
Good news: 1. OpenVPN v2-3 RC1 I003 fixed bug with disconnecting/terminating connection. Update: Beware of: 24. Oracle VirtualBox v4-2-4-81684 under Windows 8 with Hyper-V enabled. The virtual network card can cause freezing when Windows 8 boot (logo phase with rotating circle).
Update: Shutdown issue: D. Windows 8 shutdowns so forcefully, that some programs (even explorer.exe) can't handle it and display "memory can't be written" dialog box error.
If you go to the Corel website and download the "Corel Paint Shop Photo Pro X3 Service Pack 5", it should do the trick. At least it did on my three Windows 8 machines. I use the software all day long every day in my work. Good Luck!
