I just got an Asus ul80vt-a1 x64 bit with ubuntu as the only os. I tried to install windows 8 on it from a bootable usb but everytime i start it from the usb it hangs on the windows 8 logo. I thought it might have been the flash drive but it appears to be fine since i managed to boot and install linux mint 17 from the same usb without any hiccups. Any advice on how to solve this?
Download the windows 8 iso again, it might have been a bad install. Use the windows 7 usb tool to burn it to the flash drive. Yes it works for win 8 too.
