I hope i am in the best forum to solve my problem.......... I recently try to install Windows 8 in my computer which is having Windows 7 previously....I make a Bootable USB Drive of Windows 8 ISO Image File. And i tried to install Windows 8 using USB...I choose the options in the start up screen and i gave the drive to install Windows 8...After this everything went fine upto Finishing UP Option i.e;it copy the required files,Install the files,Install the updates and at last it goes to Finishing UP option after it restarts. But my computer is not continuing the Installation from the previous step.It again throws the start up screen with choose the keyboard language Options and Choose the required Version. And i tried again and again it doesn't continuing from the previous Finishing Up Option. It repeats the problem....Can Anyone help me with this Problem...
Maybe it simply booted from the USB again? Make sure it boots only the first time from USB, all restarts boot from HDD, then.
Yes After Finishing UP the installation i just tried by removing the pendrive. Then the system restarts and directed to Bios Settings Screen...
Looks like you need to re-set the boot drive in the BIOS to the one you installed W8 onto. Reply to me if you need help doing that.
That's the reason for I always keep the device connected until instalation is finished-up and the OS is fully installed!Once booted from USB device at instalation start(pressing f12 for boot-menu),the next restart will be from HDD..
Yes i tried by keeping USB drive with the system too. Then it again begins from starting Choose Keyboard Language.....i.e;It again starts from beginning not continuing from Finished UP Option.....
Please, verify the boot sequence in your BIOS.Set it to boot from HDD,save settings and then during boot press f12 to choose boot menu, and boot from instalation media.Try this..
Thank U all.I solved my problem.Special Thanks to free1975yuly.The trick u said really works @free1975yuly
Usually you should leave the media in unttil all done and dusted. of course before you do that you want to make sure that the Pc boots off the media permanently until you finish then set booting off from HDD and if using UEFI then make sure it is set to UEFI HDD windows Bootmanger
I installed windows 8 and it's work fine now.But when i try to connect my External Harddisk (Seagate Backup Plus) and Pendrive it's not getting detected sometimes. My CPU has two USB ports at front part of CPU which are connected to RAM and 1 USB Port at back part of CPU which is connected to MOther Board...After my system is on when i try to connect my External Hard Disk or Pendrive in front 2 USB ports(Connected to RAM) it's not detecting...Then i tried by connceting the External Hard Disk and Pendrive to the USB ports at the back part of CPU (Connected to Mother Board). Now the two External Hard Disk and Pendrive get's detected at back USB ports. Can anyone help me with this problem....? But the two External Hard Disk and Pendrive are worked perfectly in previous version of windows (Windows 7) and Ubuntu....
Maybe you should first "clean" the USP Connector Ports and Jacks with an good Contact Cleaner. I use Kontakt61 from Kontakt Chemie for those and that works excellent. Also you'll maybe need to change the USB Cable because under Windows 8 it seems to be that the connection is checked more than under older OS's. I'd some problems with the USB 3.0 Cable from cheaper enclosure which where more thin than from the better enclosures in Windows 8. No problem with than in Windows 7. So changed that cables to better one, solved that problem.
But i tried by connecting the pendrive and External Hard disk before starting my system Then it works fine....When i try to connect the pendrive and External Hard disk after logging in or starting the System then it's not connected...Is it a Software Problem in OS??
Not all times. But Maximum no.of times it is not Connecting....but when i tried to connect pendrive before starting windows 8 and it get's detected...
Do you have other pendrives you can try? You should probably think about cleaning those ports. I have Windows 8 and not once have I had a problem with it detecting the usb port devices.
