I tried it. Restarted 3 times and no hang. But i will know if it worked after i restart some more times. Thanks
It does not seem to work. After 3 shut downs i noticed that first time it took 2 seconds to shut down pc, but the other 2 times it took 1 minute :/ Well i reported it to Intel anyway so they will have to fix it.
Thanks for this tip. I just applied it. But I have a question, what is dynamictick and what does it do? I've never heard of it before.
Its something Microsoft did to save power I'm pretty sure. Disabling it reverts the original behavior (Windows 7, etc)
i cant activate office 2010 and xilisoft video convertor by crack, patches or keygens in win 8!they doesnt work for me! anyone else does have this problem?
Does anyone know of a way to or if Windows 8 pro has messaging through home networking, like you could setup in other Windows. I have looked all over in Windows 8 for a way.
Yay. There is a new bios out for my Intel board and in the release notes it says: "Win8 Support function." I will try some day if it solved my issues. Right now i am on Windows 7 because i play a game that did not work on Windows 8.
I have kinda found out what is causing the restart/shutdown issues. I installed Windows 8 in Legacy (BIOS) mode and the issue does not seem to exist there. Restarted 6-7 times, it completed without issues. Shutdown PC 5 times, it did freeze the first time but the other 4 times it completed successfully. After that i Installed Windows 8 again but in UEFI mode. Tested to restart and shutdown but it freezes I have no idea why it works fine in Legacy mode but is broken in UEFI mode.
Total waste of time, Quick Format is enough with optional chkdisk, Writting "ZERO" all over the drive will just make data unrecoverable but will not improve performance.
