here is what the hash from leaked windows 8 compared to the ones on MSDN: wzor Windows 8 x64 Enterprise SHA1: 73DF20A98D8CDF52A70FBFFECBEBA63F2A242322 MSDN Windows 8 x64 Enterprise SHA1: 4EADFE83E736621234C63E8465986F0AF6AA3C82 as we can note they are different, any thoughts as to what this means?
It's very possible for a server to be up and yet not respond to ping requests. Why do we even need to explain this...
This was previous known, that the hash will be different. It maybe because the leaked version didn't include EULA agreement.
wzor iso`s contain missing eula and or not for the public use so this explains why sha1 hashes are different just wait for the real Windows 8 x64 Enterprise with SHA1: 4EADFE83E736621234C63E8465986F0AF6AA3C82 to appear on torrent sites and delete your wzor iso
The same reason that we have a thread that is 215 pages long with 210 pages of "I cannot activate, I have not read the first page, what do I do?"
oh ok so from my understanding there shouldn't be any difference apart fro the missing EULA right? oh ok then I will do that when is appears on torrents sites and you think we will be able to use the same installation keys like the ones WZOR provided?
I am a guy, and I play guitar - but I do not believe I have a reputation as such Must have me confused.
Only NOOBS will do that. The exact same thing happened during Windows 7. The Zukona release iso had different hash compared to the MSDN ISO, and noobs started freaking out. But then it was proved both ISO were the exact same thing. MSDN iso will have a different hash compared to the retail iso. So then what? Will the MSDN one become fake? NO. All are the SAME. Here's the bottom line: WZOR ISOs ARE 100% GENUINE AND REAL -- EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE MSDN ISOs. YOU DO NOT NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THE DIFFERENT HASH.
I haven't checked but my guess is the MSDN Windows 8 ISO may contain a 30 day grace period before activation. The WZOR Windows 8 ISO probably contained some sort of tracking software or component that reports back to M$ to record the IP and MAC address of the users downloading it from torrent or other illegal sources. If you signed in using your M$ account, then that will be logged as well. The build number is the same just to fool us in thinking it's the real deal RTM, but the MSDN ISO is actually the real Windows 8 ISO that will be shipped out on Oct 26. Anybody think this could be the case? Looks like M$ is smarter than we thought.
