I have the possibility of having an acces MSDN and I wanted to know if the Windows 8 versions on the site was activated after installation or if it is necessary to wait the October all the same? Thanks you
Once you have access to Windows 8 via MSDN you also get the product key, once you use the product key provided via MSDN am pretty sure it will activate.
nope lol I was downloading the Eval but after reading that it would go off after 90 days I stopped and also I read that both the leak and MSDN images are mostly identical I decided to stay with the version I activated with the benderrodriguez a couple of days ago.
What's on MSDN now is the final version with activation keys. The MSDN keys are good forever once they're given to you. The license will not expire and you will get windows updates. If you're an early adopter like me and have legit access, then by all means jump on board! No reason to wait, unless something you need is incompatible (ugh vsphere.......)
I dont know why you are telling patience is the key,I tried that and it told me it wasnt valid, thanks. LOL
loooooooool, funny clever answerrrrrrrrrr Seriously now, i think he means stolen = you have not pay for the software or license
Technet and MSDN have different rules. I have not heard that this applies to MSDN. BTW, I haven't even heard that it's enforced on Technet: note the language used ("may not").
Found this on TPB: ReArm for 30days. 1. regedit HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionSoftwareProtectionPlatform and change the value for SkipRearm to 1 2. run "slmgr -rearm" (note! this will also reset the above mentined value to zero again) 3. Now the 30 day activating time is reset to 0 once more (You can only do this reset 7 times) 30 x 7 = 210 So we get 210 days worth of trial, I guess it's better than nothing. But aren't there some features that don't work with trial mode?
This is nothing new and was the same for Win7 and people have tried everything to figure this out with apparently no luck. I am not saying you will not be able to figure this out, but I suggest you connect with those who already tried first. The token file on my system is tied to my system and I'd like to keep it that way -sorry.
A 90 day trial of windows 8 is now available for download. Check at windows8update.com/download-free-windows-8-evaluation-copy-for-90-days Hope this gives some time to evaluate Windows 8!
You believe people could live at ease under the "may be" shadow? The trial key is bundled with MS A/C and will be validated on-line, guess this trick might not work like Vista/Win7. btw, people installed the trial Ent. found there are 5 re-arms, if each rearm gives 30 days(not the registry tweak), then the total trial days would be 90+5*30=240 days.
