Ah like me having a couple of Heinekens before even attempting to install Windows, because I've noticed that the procedures make more sense when one's slightly inebriated XD It might be a coincidence, but this worked for me since my second attempt at getting on the WinXP wave (the first one ended with a viral infection 25 minutes after installing the damned thing and trying to install AVGFree)
Also,on-topic server's still up, I just re-upped my wife's laptop using the current KMS.

double click time/date at your right hand corner. A window pops up where you can adjust time zone. Find yours for your country/Main cities and apply. Within this window, you can synchronize the computer time with the internet with time.nist.gov or time.windows. etcetera

thanks for your response and this is to show, that syncing time/time zone is a major need with KMS activation :D

Duly noted XD I wonder then if the UTC time isn't a factor in the activation process - perhaps one of the factors that're used to generate an activation confirmation code..

Interesting to read this as well. I didn't find anything about this phenomenon on M$ sites but for all, who have problems, it is the best to adjust time zone and time to be on the secure side if activation is about to fail.

    Dude, depends where you are:bye1:

What s all this beef about adjusting time, is it too hard? gotta travel, take a bus, wake up early, dig , walk for miles, look for shelter, food or money.....get on with the program

When you activated with the previous kms, did you alter any of your network settings. I remember reading that some people were changing their network settings to try and connect with the IPv6. That might be your problem, just guessing.
